Authorities released the name on Thursday of a Carlsbad man who died after becoming stricken while scuba-diving for lobsters in Mission Bay.
Jeffrey Logandro, 38, was diving with friends in the southern reaches of the harbor when he became distressed and sank shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Lifeguards pulled Logandro out of the bay and tried to revive him. Medics took him to UCSD Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Autopsy results are pending.
