Padres.TV, the re-branded, direct-to-consumer streaming option for the team’s home and away games, will be available free for all spring training broadcasts, it was announced Wednesday.

When the season starts, the price for Padres.TV will be $19.99 a-month or $99.99 for the full regular season, a package that is separate from the MLB.TV package offered for access to out-of-market games.

The spring training schedule, featuring 25 games, will be available via Padres.TV, major networks, radio or webcast.

The first two spring games against the Dodgers, Feb. 22-23, will air on ESPN, just before Feb. 26, when the first of seven Padres.TV live broadcasts airs with the Padres taking on Cleveland.

Other televised matchups include two exhibition games in Korea against the Korean Baseball Organization All-Star Team (March 17) and reigning KBO champion Twins (March 18) and the final games of the spring television schedule, exhibitions at Petco Park with the Mariners (March 25-26).

The shift to Padres.TV follows the changes that took place last year mid-season when Bally Sports, part of bankrupt parent company Diamond Sports Group, failed to pay a rights fee to the team, prompting Major League Baseball to cut ties and begin offering Padre broadcasts.

Play-by-play broadcaster Don Orsillo returns to the booth, with former Padre Mark Grant in the analyst seat. Former MLB pitcher Bob Scanlan once again will provide analysis and reports.

Radio broadcasts will continue to air on 97.3 the Fan and also will stream through the Audacy app. The club’s English flagship station will broadcast at least 13 preseason games this year. The first spring broadcast will take place on Feb. 22. Jesse Agler will provide play-by-play with Tony Gwynn Jr. on commentary and analysis.

The Padres also will provide a video webcast available on www.padres.com for eight home games from Peoria, and three audio-only webcasts featuring Agler and Gwynn. Fans can access the free live audio stream by logging in or creating a free account on the website.

The full 2024 spring training broadcast schedule for all outlets is available on Friar Wire.

Additional information on where to watch 2024 Padres regular season games on cable and satellite television will be announced prior to the March 28 home opener.
