Chula Vista City Councilman John McCann can keep his seat on the City Council.
A panel of judges recently voted to uphold an earlier ruling that McCann won his City Council seat in 2014 fair and square, according to The Star-News.
Attorney John Moot argued that 12 ballots should have been counted despite addresses on ballots not matching the addresses on the voters’ registration, according to The Star-News. If the votes were counted, challenger and former Mayor Steve Padilla would have been elected. Instead, he lost by two votes
