More than 90 service providers in San Diego County offered help to hundreds of community members on probation last week at an El Cajon fair.

The annual East County Community Resource Fair at the El Cajon Courthouse connected more than 300 people to free employment resources, healthcare, housing assistance, food, clothing, and more.

Youth and adults who attended the fair explored resources with the assistance of the County’s Probation Department staff.

The services providers at the fair included tattoo removal, legal aid, education resources, help finding housing, and more.

The fair also featured a special recognition ceremony honoring five people for their “commitment to personal growth, positive change, building a support system and meeting the conditions of their probation,” according to the County.

The Probation Department supervises more than 9,200 adults and juveniles in the County and around 250 youth in juvenile facilities, according to its website.
