Light rain is likely across the San Diego region on Saturday as a low-pressure system moves through Southern California, the National Weather Service said.

“A series of low pressure systems will bring multiple chances of precipitation to Southern California over the next week. The first system moves through today, producing scattered showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms across the region,” the agency said on Saturday morning.

Rainfall totals were forecast to be 0.1 to 0.3 inches along the coast, 0.1 to 0.25 in the valleys, 0.2 to 0.4 in the mountains and just a trace in the deserts.

Highs Saturday will be around around 63 along the coast, around 62 in the western valleys, 54 to 59 near the foothills, 47 to 55 in the mountains, and 66 to 70 in the deserts.

Rain is likely again on Sunday night, with dry weather returning on Tuesday.
