Two people suffered gunshot wounds in Stockton, authorities said Saturday.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday outside 3155 L Street near the intersection of 32nd Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Officers found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his lower-right leg and a 35-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Both victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the department reported.

“Neither victim could provide a suspect description or details regarding the incident. Street Gangs Unit was notified,” police said.

The motive for the shooting was unclear and no further information was immediately available.
