Sunday’s weather in San Diego County was predicted by forecasters to be sunny and mild following patchy fog in the morning.
High temperatures on Sunday are forecast to be 63 to 68 near the coast, 71 inland, 73 to 78 in the valleys, 71 to 80 in the mountains and 90 to 95 in the deserts.
Mild conditions were predicted to continue into the new week, the National Weather Service said, with a developing low to the north enhancing the onshore flow, forcing temperatures to fall to below normal by Tuesday and bringing a surge of stronger westerly winds to the mountains and deserts into Wednesday.
The marine layer was expected to deepen just enough to generate some sprinkles Monday night into Wednesday west of the mountains, the weather service said. Gradual warming will follow later in the week, with weaker onshore winds and a more shallow marine layer.
