Pavement work will close the eastbound Interstate 8 connectors to state Route 163 parts of this weekend and next, according to Caltrans.
The first closure, of both north- and southbound access, will take place from 8 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday.
The second closure begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, and concludes at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4.
Caltrans advises motorists to take eastbound I-8 to northbound Interstate 805, for northbound Route 163 access.
To access the southbound lanes of Route 163, motorists should take the eastbound I-8 to the Texas Street/Qualcomm Way off-ramp. They would continue north on Qualcomm to the westbound I-8 on-ramp, to make their way to the southbound Route 163 connector.
