From the organizers of the San Diego Latino Film Festival comes “Exitos del Cine Latino,” a festival that will bring dozens of cultural movies to the big-screen in South Bay beginning Friday.

The festival will screen movies such as “Argentina,” “Desierto,” “Messi,” and “Mr Pig” at the Westfield Plaza in Bonita.

Of course, the festival wouldn’t be complete without parties. An opening night party will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. outside the movie theater with live music, food and drinks. Celebrity actor Ximena Ayala and filmmaker Rafa Lara are expected to make an appearance.

Other special guests during the festival include Ana Claudia Talacón and Fernanda Castillo. Live concerts are also lined up throughout the weekend.
