Griswold Home Care for North San Diego said that two of its care partners, Sanjay Patel and Fidelia Underwood, have been nominated for the Home Care Association of America’s 2025 Caregiver of the Year – Spirit of Caring Award.
Both have earned perfect client satisfaction ratings and are recognized for helping prevent caregiver burnout, reduce family stress, and avoid unnecessary out-of-home placements—work that supports the mission of the San Diego Regional Center, according to a news release.
They are now in the running to become West Region Finalists and potentially win the national award at the HCAOA conference this October in Dallas.
“This recognition celebrates the extraordinary compassion and professionalism that Sanjay and Fidelia bring to their work every day,” said April Kohnen, Director of Home Care Services for Griswold Home Care for North San Diego. “They represent the very best of what it means to support people in living where they love—with dignity, safety, and joy.”
