The Oceanside Public Library will host a special author event with young adult writer Darcie Little Badger on Monday, June 30 at 1 p.m. in the Civic Center Community Room, located at 330 N. Coast Hwy.
Little Badger is the bestselling author of the young adult fantasy novel Elatsoe, which was named one of TIME’s 100 best fantasy novels of all time. Her other books include A Snake Falls to Earth and Sheine Lende: A Prequel to Elatsoe.
She will speak about her path as a writer and share insights into the storytelling process. A Q&A session will follow the talk. Free copies of all three of her novels will be available for attendees to receive and have signed, while supplies last.
The event is free, no registration is required, and is recommended for ages 10 and up. For details, visit oceansidelibrary.org, or call 760-435-5600.
This program is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
