San Diego Mesa College will award $170,000 in scholarships Saturday to 175 students at the school’s 26th annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

The school will award 96 scholarships each worth between $250 and $2,500 to the students. According to the college, 76 students will receive more than one award. Some scholarships are to be used for school-related expenses like tuition and textbooks while others can be used for students’ general needs like food.

“Our generous donors — consisting of faculty, staff, alumni, community partners and even students themselves — continue to come forward to support the success of our students,” said Mesa College President Pamela Luster.

Scholarship donors include California Coast Credit Union, Kaiser Permanente and Mesa College Associated Students. A full list of award winners can be found at bit.ly/2GxRfd3. The Mesa College Foundation will host the ceremony, which will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Mission Valley.
