Authorities on Wednesday publicly identified a 34-year-old man who was fatally shot last weekend in Oceanside.
Patrol officers responding to reports of a shooting found Justin Bazan of Vista wounded at the intersection of College Boulevard and Olive Drive at about 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
Bazan died at the scene, Detective Sgt. Dave Estrada said.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and police have announced no arrests in the case.
