An abandoned panga boat was found washed up on Dog Beach in Ocean Beach Thursday.

The boat was discovered at 6:45 a.m. Thursday at Dog Beach at the mouth of the San Diego River, according to OnScene TV.

There were several life preservers and gas cans onboard, the video news service said.

San Diego Lifeguards contacted the U.S. Border Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard about the suspected human smuggler boat.
