A pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Leucadia on Saturday night.
The fatal accident occurred just before 9 p.m. when the southbound train struck the victim.
San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies were investigating, and few details were immediately available.
It was unknown why the victim was on the tracks.
