Police were investigating after more than two dozen vehicles were found with broken windows in Cortez Hill early Sunday morning.
A call came in about 3:30 a.m. reporting possible vandalism on 10th Avenue near Beech Street, according to San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros, in an area abutting state Route 163.
Officers responding to the call found 17 cars had their windows broken, Delimitros said. They later found eight additional vehicles a short walk away on Date Street between Seventh and Ninth avenues.
Witnesses reported seeing a suspect, but only could describe the person as a man wearing a black hoodie, Delimitros said.
Police did not have an estimate on the total damage done to the vehicles.
