A 58-year-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a crash on El Camino Real in Oceanside.
Oceanside Police responded at approximately 2 a.m. to reports of a motorcycle down on El Camino just north of the intersection with Vista Way.
Crews arrived at the scene to find a man who had been thrown from his motorcycle and was not breathing.
Officers immediately began CPR on the victim. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after but were unable to revive the man.
Authorities said El Camino will remain closed into the morning as officers investigate the fatal accident.
