A car fire reported Sunday by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department may have been the work of a female arsonist.
The blaze, which was quickly doused, was reported in the 3000 block of Mobley Street in Serra Mesa, according to a tweet early Sunday evening by the fire department.
Flames and smoke from the burning vehicle caused minor damage to the eaves of a residence, but there was no damage to the home’s interior and no report of injury, according to the tweet.
San Diego police arrested a 26-year-old woman on suspicion of starting the blaze, according to the tweet.
Her identity has not been released.
