A bicyclist suffered injuries after he was struck by a driver who apparently ran a red light at a Kearny Mesa intersection.
It happened just after 9 a.m. at the intersection of Convoy Street and Balboa Avenue
A 41-year-old man was riding his bicycle southbound on Convoy Street on a green light and was hit by Hyundai sedan traveling eastbound on Balboa Avenue and driven by a 63-year-old man, according to Officer Dino Delimitros of the San Diego Police Department.
The bicyclist sustained an open fracture to his right leg, Delimitros said.
