The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 3000 block of Chollas Road at Collura Street, San Diego Police officer John Buttle said.

The victim was riding northbound on Chollas Road coming down a hill when he lost control around a curve and slid into a curb and retaining wall, Buttle said. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
