One motorist was killed and two were injured Tuesday morning when a pickup truck overturned on state Route 52 in Santee.
The single-vehicle crash in the westbound lanes near Mission Gorge Road was reported shortly before 5 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The wrecked truck rolled onto the onramp from Mission Gorge Road, which was shut down afterward.
Two other vehicle occupants were taken to a hospital to be treated, a Heartland Fire & Rescue dispatcher said.
The accident remains under investigation.
