A man was in custody Wednesday on suspicion of using a crowbar to hit a pedestrian in the head while robbing him in the City Heights area.
The assault at 4250 University Ave. was reported at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
The victim and another man were walking on a sidewalk when they were attacked by the crowbar-wielding robber and a second unarmed man, he said in a statement.
The victim suffered a cut to his head and his attacker was arrested nearby a short time later, Delimitros said, adding that his unarmed accomplice got away.
