A speeding driver in a stolen SUV led California Highway Patrol officers from Interstate 8 in La Mesa to El Cajon, where he tried to escape but was later arrested, the CHP reported Wednesday.
CHP officers tried to stop the driver of a Infinity QX4 for a speed violation on Interstate 8 in La Mesa around 2:15 a.m., but he instead headed into El Cajon, according to the CHP.
The driver then crashed into a parked minivan near 417 Cuyamaca St. and ran toward a shed in the back yard, where he holed up for about an hour before being arrested, according to 10News.
