Home Start’s Thrift Boutique will host a weekend-long celebration in honor of National Thrift Store Day on Aug. 16 and 17 at its Normal Heights location, 3611 Adams Ave., San Diego.

The event will feature discounts, decorations, music, and more.

Shoppers can enjoy 40–50% off storewide, with deals on back-to-school styles, designer clothing and accessories, hand-poured candles, and quality furniture. The boutique offers a curated selection of gently used, well-kept items, organized to create a relaxed shopping experience with affordable, one-of-a-kind finds.

Each purchase supports families in need. Proceeds benefit Home Start’s Maternity Housing Program and other services for at-risk families and children. Since opening, the boutique has provided a supportive work environment for young mothers facing challenges such as poverty, domestic violence, unsafe neighborhoods, housing instability, and unemployment—helping them gain job skills and work experience on their path to independence.

Store hours for the event are Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
