Bitchin’ Sauce announced Thursday that the Carlsbad company’s signature sauce is a winner in Good Housekeeping’s 2024 Best Snack Awards.
The publication named the creamy and savory lemon and garlic sauce, made of almonds, herbs and spices, “Best Vegan Spread” in the “Delicious Dips and Spreads” category. Select winners can be found in the July/August issue of Good Housekeeping.
Bitchin’ Sauce was founded by husband-and-wife duo Starr & L.A. Edwards. The two started small, selling their dips in farmers markets in and around San Diego.
“We are thrilled and honored to receive a 2024 Good Housekeeping Best Snack Award,” said CEO Starr Edwards, adding, “This recognition is a testament to our dedication to crafting dips that are both nutritious and delicious.”
Bitchin’ Sauce is made from raw, California almonds and is gluten-free, vegan, kosher and Non-GMO Project-certified. Bitchin’ Sauce has pioneered the nut-based dip category. The award-winning tubs of dip are available in over 17,000 stores worldwide such as Costco, Sprouts, Target, Walmart and Whole Foods.
L.A., also a musician, formed a band with his brothers, playing rock clubs and festivals across the country. Starr and L.A. began touring the nation and 13 years later, along with their five children still lead a very nomadic life, managing both ventures.
The Edwards have added the record label Bitchin’ Music Group to their holdings, but remain rooted in their mission to make the world “a more Bitchin’ place, one tub at a time.”
