A business conference in San Diego next month will focus on investment opportunities across the 6.5 million population San Diego and Tijuana region.
The World Form for Foreign Direct Investment is scheduled for April 3 to 6 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego. More than 350 people, many representing large corporate investors, are expected to attend.
The event is sponsored by the CaliBaja Bi-National Mega-Region initiative, which seeks to foster long-term economic growth and partnership across San Diego County, Imperial County and Baja California.
“This event will bring the eyes of the world to the CaliBaja region in terms of potential investment. This event is a unique opportunity for our region to be showcased as a great place to do business,” said Adriana Equia, executive director of mega-region initiative. “Eighty percent of these delegates have never been to San Diego and the forum offers full days of tours and excursions to explore San Diego and Baja California.”
Attendees will tour San Diego, Tijuana, Ensenada and the Imperial Valley. The San Diego tour will focus on the city’s start up-culture, scientific research institutes and technology companies.
Speakers include geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan, Yahoo Finance Editor-in-Chief Andrew Serwer and Atul Vashistha, founder and chairman of global consultants NEO Group.
