Airlines flying to Los Angeles and other nearby locations are moving operations from the commuter terminal to the main terminals at San Diego International Airport effective next Thursday.
The change comes because airlines are replacing smaller aircraft with larger, more efficient planes. Effective June 4, commuter flights will operate as follows:
- United Express flights will relocate service to Terminal 2 West
- American Eagle will relocate to Terminal 2 East
- Seaport Airlines will move to the west end of Terminal 1.
The Commuter Terminal will continue to serve as the administrative offices for the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. Future plans for the building will be determined as part of the Airport Authority’s Airport Development Plan, which is currently underway.
