The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Monday for the 18th consecutive day, increasing a half-cent to $2.826.
The average price has risen 40.1 cents over the past 18 days, including 1.2 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 17.8 cents more than one week ago and 29.5 cents higher than one month ago. However, it is 95.7 cents less than one year ago thanks to a 24-day streak of decreases immediately before the current string of increases began.
The 18-day streak of increases is the longest since a 19-day run from April 2-20 last year.
