The La Jolla Music Society continues its jazz series with the vocalist Aaron Neville and his New Orleans R&B quintet at the Balboa Theatre on Thursday.
Neville has been described as “the leading man of New Orleans music” and “a true soul master.” His unmistakable falsetto is one of the most evocative and recognizable voices in American music.
He will be joined on stage by his quintet, featuring his brother Charles Neville on saxophone, and perform works from his latest recording, “My True Story,” alongside favorites from his five-decade career.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. concert are $25-$75 and available at 858-459-3728 or online at www.LJMS.org. The historic Balboa Theatre is located adjacent to Horton Plaza downtown.
