Singer Enrique Iglesias was flown to a hospital in Los Angeles because he sliced his hand open trying to catch a flying drone during a concert near Tijuana, it was reported Sunday.

Several celebrity websites reported the accident happened Saturday night, as he sang before a crowd of 12,000 at the Bullring at Playas de Tijuana, a coastal suburb of the large Baja California city. E! and TMZ.com posted photos of Iglesias finishing the concert, grasping a bloody rag.

The remote-controlled helicopter carries a video camera that is projected onto a screen at Iglesias’ concerts, and he has been known to catch it while singing.
TMZ.com reported that Iglesias left the stage for 10-15 minutes, finished his set in a bloody short, then departed for a Los Angeles hospital in an airplane from the Tijuana airport.
