The San Diego Legion defeated LA Rugby FC Saturday 36-28 to improve to 4-0 on the season.
The only remaining undefeated team in Major League Rugby, SD Legion earned their third straight victory over LA.
The game was a back-and-forth affair for most of the game. Hugh Roach scored a try to put the Legion up 10-7 early, and Brad Wilkin’s try put them back up 17-14. A penalty try in the 56th minute gave San Diego the lead again 24-21.
Two more tries from Shilo Klein (‘66) and Ryan James (‘76) helped give San Diego their fourth win to start the season.
The five tries scored for the Legion were from Roach (‘24), Wilkin (‘43), Klein (‘66), James (‘76) and the penalty try in the 56th minute.
The Legion will enter their bye week undefeated, and their next game will be at Torero Stadium against Miami.
