Parks and Recreation with the City of Oceanside is offering Youth Sports Leagues in the Fall 2024 season, including coed basketball and flag football.
Coed basketball will provide families the opportunity to play at either the Junior Seau Beach Community Center or Melba Bishop Recreation Center. Practices will be once a week, either Tuesday or Thursday, and teams will be formed based on age groups.
The age group is for 7-14 year olds. The season runs from August 27 through November 9, with the first game taking place September 7. Residents will be charged $157 and non-residents will be charged $167. After enrollment an email will be sent out regarding purchasing or renting a jersey.
Flag football will provide all the fundamentals, along being in a family friendly environment. Targeting ages 5-15, flag football is meant for both advanced and beginning players.
The season will have games on Fridays, from September 20 through November 22, which includes playoffs, at Martin Luther King Jr. Park. The cost will be $227 for residents and $237 for non-residents.
