The New England Free Jacks will play the Seattle Seawolves in the Major League Rugby Championship at Snapdragon Stadium at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Free Jacks are looking to win back-to-back championships, after defeating the San Diego Legion 25-24 in last season’s final.

The Seawolves have won two MLR championships, in 2018 and 2019, and lost in the final in 2022 to Rugby New York.

The Seawolves kicked off their playoff run by beating the Legion 30-28, followed by a conference championship win over the Dallas Jackals.

New England’s path back to the championship game featured a 33-29 win over Old Glory DC, followed by a 23-17 win over the Chicago Hounds to advance to the championship final.

Other than the game itself, there are festivities to help celebrate the MLR Championship, highlighted by a performance from musical artist Marshmello.

The Legion, hosts of the MLR Championship, broke the MLR attendance record by selling 11,423 tickets for their 2023 home opener against the Utah Warriors. The turnout surpassed the previous record of 7,389 tickets sold for the 2021 MLR Championship.

The Legion are looking to break another record Sunday. Tickets are on sale now for the MLR Championship.
