With less than a month to go before the inaugural event, the field for the 2024 Rady Children’s Invitational already has been set.
It will include the Arkansas Razorbacks, BYU Cougars, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Purdue Boilermakers.
The second annual tournament will take place Nov. 28-29, 2024 at LionTree Arena on the UC San Diego campus.
Fans who purchase tickets to the first invitational, beginning Nov. 23, will have priority on tickets for the 2024 tournament.
This year’s event includes the Iowa Hawkeyes, USC Trojans, Seton Hall Pirates and the Oklahoma Sooners. USC is in the preseason Associated Press Top 25, at No. 21.
The games will air nationally on FS1 and FOX.
Ticket prices for this year’s event range from $35 to $125 per day. Each day includes two games. Two-day tickets are also available; $5 from each ticket sold will be donated to Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego.
Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego, the organization that produces the tournament, said its backers, who in addition to Rady, include FOX Sports, UC San Diego Athletics and Global Sports & Events, seek “to produce one of the best early season college basketball tournaments in the country.”
“Part of that means securing top basketball programs year after year. We are extremely proud of this 2024 field,” he said.
