UC San Diego, following its first loss of the season, fell out of the Top 5, but remained in the Top 10 in the national Division II men’s basketball Power 10 rankings.

Northwest Missouri State’s 46-game winning streak ended to drop them out of the top spot. Bellarmine rose to take No. 1. Nova Southeastern and West Texas A&M round out the top three. All three teams are unbeaten.

The Tritons came in at No. 10, due to their tougher schedule and average margin of victory, nearly 19 points.

In the west region rankings, UCSD sits atop the list. Point Loma Nazarene University landed in third.

They lost to Chico State, 81-73, on Dec. 5. UCSD took the court without senior captain Chris Hansen, who couldn’t play due to a foot injury.

The Tritons return to action Tuesday when they travel to Cal State Dominguez Hills.
