The Metropolitan Transit System announced Friday it plans to beef up trolley service Saturday night for the San Diego State football game against Boise State at SDCCU Stadium.

Increased service on the Green Line is scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m. between SDSU and the stadium, and at 5:15 p.m. between the Old Town Transit Center and the stadium, according to the MTS. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The MTS said extra Green Line service will be operating in both directions after the game as needed.

The No. 19 Aztecs come into the game with a 6-0 record on the season, 2- 0 in the Mountain West. The Broncos, at 3-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play, is unranked.

SDSU officials are reportedly expecting a crowd of more than 43,000 fans.

MTS officials encouraged fans to make use of the Compass Cloud smartphone app for ticket purchases so they don’t have to buy at trolley stations.
