In the next chapter of the Joey Bosa contract saga, the no. 3 overall pick will not report to San Diego Chargers training camp, as multiple sources reported.
Bosa remains unsigned, and is the highest NFL draft pick – and only Chargers’ pick – to hold that distinction.
According to sources close to the situation, the two sides have been arguing over offset language, and the timetable of bonus money payout.
Bosa reportedly would like the bonus money sooner, while the Chargers prefer to pay it out over time.
Bosa’s agent, Todd France, also represents Joshua Garnett, the only other first rounder holding out over contract disputes.
The Chargers will begin their mandatory workouts on Saturday without their future defensive stalwart.
