The San Diego Chargers signed their third round draft pick – offensive lineman Max Tuerk – to a four-year deal on Thursday morning, the team announced.

Tuerk, from University of Southern California, projects to be the backup center, behind newly signed veteran Matt Slauson.

He proved to be a versatile lineman for the Trojans, starting 38 games at four positions during his college career.

Tuerk’s signing leaves no. 3 overall, pick defensive end Joey Bosa, as the lone unsigned Chargers’ rookie.

Bosa skipped a three-day minicamp in mid June because of the contract dispute.

No further successful negotiations have taken place between San Diego and Bosa.
