As the NFL owners arrived in Houston on Monday to decide on which team will move to Los Angeles, a proposal from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to have the Chargers and Rams move into an Inglewood stadium gained popularity, according to a San Diego Union Tribune report.

The report states that the proposal was only about 100 words long, and paired Dean Spanos and Stan Kroenke together on the Hollywood Park site in Inglewood.

The Chargers still plan on heavily pursuing their joint-plan to move into a Carson stadium with the Raiders despite Jones’ proposal.

Spanos and Raiders owner Mark Davis met with Disney CEO Bob Iger, who’s working with the project, Monday and Iger is expected to present at the owners meeting, according to the report.

A possible marriage of the Rams and Chargers has been discussed for a while by the media, but this is the first formal indication that it could be a possibility.

Various media reports are claiming that the feeling among the owners is that a Rams and Chargers joint-stadium might be the only proposal that passes a vote by the owners.
