El Capitan will be joining Oceanside in the 2014 California Interscholastic Federation State Bowl Championships this weekend after it shut out Paso Robles 41-0 to win the Division III Regional Championship on Saturday at El Capitan.
This will be El Capitan’s first State Championship Bowl Game appearance.
The Vaqueros will match up against Campolindo (Moraga), which also won its Regional Championship, for the 2014 CIF Division III State Bowl Game on Saturday at the StubHub Center in Carson.
Similar to Oceanside, the Vaqueros are in the midst of a perfect season (14-0) and earned their spot in the state playoffs after defeating Rancho Bernardo 14-7 to capture the San Diego Section Division III title on Dec. 6.
