The Pirates will face off against the No. 8 seed Carlsbad on Friday Nov. 21 at Oceanside High School. Other schools competing for the open division title are No. 2 Cathedral Catholic, No. 3 Helix, No. 4 Mission Hills, No. 5 Eastlake, No. 6 Ramona and No. 7 Torrey Pines.

La Costa Canyon took the No. 1 seed for Division I, while El Capitan captured the No. 1 seed in Division II and Hoover secured the top seed for Division III.

Championships for the Open division will be held at the newly-renovated Southwestern High School field, instead of Qualcomm Stadium where it’s regularly held, due to a scheduling conflict with the San Diego Chargers.

Game-time for the Open division championship is scheduled at 7 p.m. Dec. 6.
