Former U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary and current Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro will visit San Diego Friday to discuss issues in the Latino community at the L’Attitude conference.
The second annual four-day conference brings together CEOs, celebrities, politicians, journalists, economists and more to discuss economic opportunities and issues facing Latino communities in the U.S. Latinos accounted for $2.3 trillion in gross domestic product in 2017, according to a study by researchers at California Lutheran University and the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine.
Castro is scheduled to take the stage at roughly 1:15 p.m. The day’s schedule also includes conversations with NBCUniversal International Group Chairman Cesar Conde, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, former congressman Eric Cantor and United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz, among others.
The conference is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Concurrently, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals will hold its annual four-day NAHREP National Convention.
