The Humane Society Legislative Fund this week released grades for members of the House and Senate, evaluating how well they did in ensuring fair treatment to animals.

The score was based on lawmakers’ support of bills such as protecting horses from soring to slaughter pets in domestic violence and stalking cases to phasing out animal testing for cosmetics.

Reps. Duncan Hunter and Darrell Issa scored 11 percent out of 100, while Reps. Scott Peters, Susan Davis and Juan Vargas received perfect scores.

When it comes to the Senate, California Sen. Dianne Feinstein received a 100 percent grade, while Sen. Barbara Boxer received 86 percent.
