Rep. Darrell Issa on Monday weighed into the Presidential primary process with an endorsement of Sen. Marco Rubio, saying the Florida Republican has been “been fighting some of the same fights.”
“Marco Rubio really is an exciting candidate, and I’m pleased to be able to endorse him and to work for him for the presidency,” Issa said during an appearance on “Fox and Friends.”
The former chairman of the House Oversight Committee who represents north coastal San Diego County and south Orange County, praised Rubio for fighting to save taxpayer money on Obamacare rather than just call for its repeal.
“He’s not afraid to engage on the hottest subjects and that’s important, because the next president is going to have to fix a lot of broken things, including our foreign policy,” Issa said.
