The best perspective for any history is at a safe distance of twenty years.
The best perspective for this election is from outer space.
Seriously.

This is a “reality” election divorced from reality.
Nobody will win this election. The results do not matter.
And not just because it was a vile, hideous two-year bout of abuse, hypocrisy and outright lies. But, because it fixed nothing, changed nothing, and left us more divided and afraid of each other.
Why? Because nobody told the truth. Nobody.
But, lots was exposed:
- The traditional press has been unmasked as a simple propaganda machine
- The World Wide Web has devolved into countless caves of conspiracies and paranoia
- The pollsters proved themselves inept
- The globalists—without cover—demonstrated the power of their rapacious greed
- The bankers, disgraced for years, no longer claim innocence—just multiple millions for their sins
- The war machine continues unabated—despite the abject failures of our “destabilization of the Middle East” policy.
- The results of these never-ending wars have created a new “weapon of mass destruction” in foreign policy tool kits—tsunamis of refugees washing ashore
Yet, the national presidential debates spiral downward into incomprehensible depths of disgrace.
What’s a voter to do? It doesn’t matter. And not just at the national level.
Look closely at the state and local propositions. Any sane voter sees the villainy of obtuse (reams of small print) wording, fabricated numbers and nonsensical “reasoning.”
Bottom line: Lots of scary predictions about what will happen if you don’t vote for the Chargers’ stadium (and pay handsomely for the privilege of making a billionaire richer), or don’t vote to pay additional taxes for roads and transport that you are already paying taxes for, or don’t legalize marijuana for recreational use (to raise more taxes to pay for the medical, social and policing costs that will ensue).
Get the picture? Nobody wins this election. The costs are too high. The debate too low. And the consequences too dear.
People often vote their emotions. And the champions of manipulation and greed fan those into the rage currently sweeping this election—on all sides. They are the true “deplorables.”
Once hate is let out of the bottle, it cannot be put back in.
That is why nobody won this election.
The current choices this election season are: “Blow it all up” vs. “Status Quo.”
But, cheer up. There are alternatives out there in space.
Scientist now believe we have never lived in “base reality,” that in fact,we are living in a massive simulation!
So what we experience as reality is actually a giant computer simulation created by a more sophisticated intelligence.
They assume ”that members of an advanced ‘posthuman’ civilization with vast computing power might choose to run simulations of their ancestors in the universe.”
Perhaps with an autocorrect feature?
So there is hope. Maybe this is just a training video game!
Isn’t the view from space is stunning!
If you can’t stretch your vote that far into the galaxy, listen to my wise mother’s advice in another tumultuous era—the 1960s and 1970s. She helped me mark my ballot with great clarity:
“Vote NO on all propositions. And vote OUT all incumbents.”
