Five local organizations have received a total of $90,000 in grant funding from the Oceanside Community Foundation to support programs aimed at helping young people ages 16 to 25 build life and job skills.

The grants were announced during OCF’s Annual Grant Awards Celebration held on June 5 at the Veterans Association of North County in Oceanside.

According to OCF, this year’s funding focuses on preparing local youth for independence through practical career training and life skills development.

2025–2026 Grant Recipients:

  • MiraCosta College Foundation – $25,000
    To expand access to paid internships for students from underrepresented backgrounds, including veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those from low-income households.
  • Oceanside Theatre Company – $15,000
    To provide hands-on experience in the performing arts and arts administration, giving young people tools for creative career paths and résumé development.
  • Support The Enlisted Project (STEP), Inc. – $20,000
    For emergency financial assistance and long-term support services for young active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families in Oceanside.
  • The Coding School – $15,000
    To prepare students for future roles in the tech industry while encouraging engagement with broader societal issues.
  • Vets – Beyond the Uniform – $15,000
    For career readiness training, one-on-one coaching, and workshops that help young veterans and service members transition into civilian life.

Over the past 16 years, OCF has awarded more than $1 million in grants to local organizations serving the Oceanside community.
