The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body of a man who was found in Ocean Beach Wednesday.
Daniel Marron, 50, was spotted by a person at the beach Wednesday, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The bystander approached the water and noticed it was a body, then proceeded to notify a lifeguard, according to the office. Multiple lifeguards responded to the scene, and San Diego Police arrived on scene to confirm the death.
Marron, an Arizona Western College psychology professor, was on a canoe trip in San Diego, according to KAWC.
Marron is originally from Yuma and married his high school sweetheart Aryca Arizaga, who is also a professor at Arizona Western College, the report said.
