The San Diego Humane Society will hold a “reverse trick-or-treating” event for children Wednesday, allowing them to celebrate the holiday with the organization’s adoptable animals.
The event will allow children of all ages to make treats for the organization’s animals before walking through the adoption gallery to deliver them by reverse trick-or-treating. The event is intended to be a safe a child- friendly alternative Halloween celebration for parents, according to the Humane Society.
In addition to delivering treats to adoptable animals, attending children will have the opportunity to meet with costumed animals, play games and make arts and crafts during the event. Tickets are $5 per child and free for children 2 years old or younger and can be purchased at bit.ly/2pv6JZ3.
The reverse trick-or-treating event is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. and will be held at the San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego campus at 5500 Gaines St.
