You can have your cake and eat it, too, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds this weekend during the 33rd annual Confections for a Cause Cake Show.
The San Diego Cake Club will host the two-day event, which will feature a cake design competition open to everyone, decorating classes, and vendor booths featuring a wide range of decorating tools, tips and supplies.
Among chefs making appearances are “Master Chef” season six winner Claudia Sandoval, “Holiday Baking Championship” winner Maeve Rochford, and “Next Great Baker” champ Lia Weber.
Tickets are $8.50 per day, or $16 for a two-day pass. Children 8 and under are free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charity of San Diego. The show starts at 10 a.m. each day.
