Not everyone can get organized enough to plan that enormous traditional Thanksgiving feast. So if you’re a procrastinator, why not order takeout for Thanksgiving 2014? But don’t procrastinate on placing the order for your take-out Thanksgiving — most providers require an order in the next few days!

Many San Diego grocery stores and some restaurants are planning to make the whole meal for you:

Marie Callender’s offers five separate feasts to take home and reheat. Each choice of turkey, ham, or both includes trimmings of apple-sage stuffing, fire-roasted yams with cranberry streusel topping, cranberry sauce, fresh mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, chef’s vegetables, fresh baked cornbread, whole pumpkin or apple pie, and coffee. Prices range from $99.99 to $149.99 for enough to serve 4-6.

Elijah’s Restaurant and Catering offers Thanksgiving dinners specifically prepared and cooked at the time you request and can be picked up or delivered. All the food is served in aluminum containers for ease of keeping it hot or warming it up if needed. A 13-14 lb. fresh roasted turkey with 1 lb. of turkey gravy and 1 lb. of cranberry sauce plus two sides and a pie to serve 10 people costs $130.

French Gourmet is preparing oven-ready complete turkey dinners for one person for $29 or for a group of four for $105. Add $23 per person for more guests. The menu includes white and dark turkey, savory bread stuffing, holiday yams, vegetables, mashed potatoes & gravy, cranberry-orange relish and pumpkin pie.
